Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actress also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in numerous shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and numerous nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on the stage as Ariel in The Tempest. The credits on stage include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted by her performances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her role on television in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
