Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actress. Her first release was hilarious, intelligently composed music that tackled issues like racial identification and sexual orientation. Later, she broadened her audience to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop studies began when she was a teenager. While at school, she majored in journalism, and women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. It wasn't until she graduated that she start focusing on music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour the city of New York Bitche$. This latter song was directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. In addition to having published a book, her other career was as a performer. Her film credits include films like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
